Hazel Zunenshine
Hazel Zunenshine (neé Caplan) was born and raised in Montreal. Her mother, Clara, was an early proponent of healthy eating, which likely contributed to her living to the age of 98 and her husband, Hazel’s father Sam, making it to 100 (!). When celebrating Sam’s birthdays in their beloved St Agathe country house, however, Clara indulged the family’s sweet tooth with Sam’s favourite poppyseed cake. Hazel would carry on the baking tradition for her husband David, their three children and eventually their eight grandchildren (the first great-grandkid is on the way).
Loved it. You brought a few Tears to my eyes. It reminds me that included with the baggage we all carry during our lives , there are plenty of gifts.
